National Vocational Qualifications
(NVQ's) are competency based qualifications, which allow you to study "on-the-job", gaining experience and knowledge in your
work-related area. These qualifications do not involve exams and can be completed in your own time and at a speed that you
and your employer agree on.
NVQ's are made up of individual units (the number of units depends on which level you undertake),
mandatory units- those which you must complete, and include elements of Health & Safety and working with others, and optional
units- those which you can choose yourself.
NVQ's are a nationally recognised award and are developed by the industry
for the industry. NVQ's bring you one step closer to that promotion you have always wanted!
