Care Qualifications (Hereinafter referred to as the Company) recognises and accepts its responsibility as an employer for
carrying out its business which will not, so far as reasonably practical, give rise to any undue risk to the Health and Safety
of its employees, learners, clients and other persons.
The
Company will make every effort to comply with its obligations, as laid down in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 &
the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1992, by constant vigilance to all aspects of Health and Safety and
in particular to the provisions as and where it may affect its employees, residents and clients. MCQ fully support the SAFE
LEARNER concept.
a) Provision of safe plant and equipment
b) Provision of protective equipment, as necessary
c)
Safe arrangements for the safe handling, storage and
transport of dangerous substances
d) Provision of adequate first aid facilities
e) Provision of a safe place of work including safe access and egress there from
f)
Provision of healthy working environment
g) Provision of instruction, training and supervision, and information to permit employees
to carry out their duties safely and to enable them to actively contribute to Health and Safety
h)
Undertake to carry out Risk Assessments within the
working environment
The
Company will, as far as is reasonably practicable, take action to:
a) Ensure the effective prosecution of this policy
b) Define areas of responsibility for Health and Safety where appropriate
c)
Ensure that all employees, learners and clients whose
participation in the effective prosecution of this policy is vital, are constantly aware of the contents of this policy.
d) To raise standards ensure employees and learners continually develop a knowledge and
understanding of Health and Safety.
The
Company takes the view that people are our most valuable asset and are willing to discuss with any or all employees, learners
and clients any aspects of Health and Safety at Work.
The
Company reminds all employees of their duties under section 7 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, to take care of their
own safety and that of other workers, and to co-operate with the Company so as to enable it to carry out its responsibilities.
A
copy of this statement will be issued to all employees. It will be reviewed, added to or modified and may be supplemented
in appropriate cases by further statements.
