What does Ecordia mean to me ?

Ecordia is proving to be a key tool for the collection and presentation of evidence for National Voactional Qualifications. The usually tiresome task of managing and organising a cumbersome paper-based portfolio is now simplified and automated by Ecordia.

It will assist you in meeting NVQ achievement milestones and enable you to manage your learning more effectively.

The processes involved in collecting and presenting evidence will be more enjoyable as the system is easy and intuitive to use...even for those who are less familiar with computers. In fact, Ecordia has proven to further build your confidence and skills with I.T.

You will be able to freely communicate with your assessor through the internal messaging system, which is confidential and you do not even need an email address.

Ecordia is a user-friendly system, which has been designed from the user's perspective - not a computer programmer's.

Your Ecordia Online Portfolio

Ecordia will store your evidence in a very simple-to-navigate online portfolio and it will be easily retrievable. Work can be modified, or changed at any time, up until you submit the work for assessment.

The system will provide you with all the tools you will need to prepare evidence directly into the portfolio. Ecordia has the functionality of a good word-processor, so you can type directly into the system. You can change the size, colour and type of font, check spelling and create tables. Alternatively, you can copy word documents into the portfolio whilst keeping all the formatting.

In addition to written evidence, images can be uploaded, such as scans of documents, photos or audio files.

Ecordia will pro-actively help you manage your portfolio, through task lists that help you prioritise what you need to do next.

For the experienced candidate, the system will enable you to plan your own work-allowing you to be more independent with your learning.

You will always know where you are with completion towards your course. Ecordia will constantly provide up-to-date information on your progress through the award.

You will have a unique username and the ability to set your own password to maintain confidentiality.

Ecordia the new name for NVQ Assist:

This message is to announce that NVQ Assist is re-naming / re-branding to 'Ecordia' on the 6th June.

This change of name does not affect you as a system user.  For a short while you will still be able to login to Ecordia by going to
www.nvqassist.co.uk but otherwise please go to www.ecordia.co.uk to login to the system.

The reason for the change of name to Ecordia from NVQ Assist is that 'NVQs' are now just one of many different types of courses that training centres can deliver online through this system.  BTECs, Diplomas, Induction and Foundation courses are being delivered alongside NVQs / SVQs, Key Skills and Technical Certificates.
